TDK Introduces Robust and Durable Capacitors with High Flexibility

TDK introduces B3271 * H * new EPCOS thin film capacitors. The new series of components are suitable for DC support applications with high energy and power density, with a rated voltage range of 500 V DC to 1600 V DC, a capacitance value range of 0.47 µ F to 170 µ F, and a maximum operating temperature of 105 ° C. These components are durable and have self-healing characteristics that meet RoHS requirements, with a typical life of 95000 hours at rated voltage and 70 ° C operating temperature.

The new series of capacitors 27.5, 37.5, and 52.5 have three wire spacing options of mm, and are available in two versions of 2-pin and 4-pin, with over 90 models and very flexible design. Therefore, the TDK CLARA tool is specially launched to help users quickly and appropriately install DC support capacitors.

The new element combines low self-inductance (only 11.5) nH to 23 nH) SiC based inverters, featuring high ripple current capability, and is very suitable for operation at high switching frequencies. In addition, they also comply with IEC requirements 61071, AEC-Q200, and UL 810 specifications, which are generally applicable to typical industrial applications such as frequency converters, photovoltaic inverters, electric vehicle fast chargers, on-board chargers, auxiliary drives, and power inverters.
