Design BOM - DBOM (Design BOM): The DBOM of the design department is the overall information of the product, including product lists, pattern catalogs, material quota lists, etc. The source of BOM design information is usually the title block and detail block information in a complete set of design drawings provided by the design department. Sometimes it also involves the preparation of partial information on the process card by the process unit. The design BOM is usually summarized after the planning is completed. The corresponding general document formats include process route table, key process detail table, important component key component detail table, self-made component detail table, general component detail table, general special tool detail table, equipment detail table, etc. The BOM information is generally sourced from the content on the process card prepared by the process unit, but the design of the BOM should be used as the data content. The corresponding electronic view is usually the assembly process BOM mode of the product components, and the corresponding parts are usually the actual production process BOM mode. More importantly, they are the mechanical processing process BOM, or the production and manufacturing operation process BOM. Customer BOM - CBOM (Customer BOM): Customer BOM actually has two meanings, one is to select the catalog of products purchased by customers from all product organizations. One refers to a detailed list of actual specifications of products purchased by customers. This is mainly a very practical expression for companies that manage product drawings based on customer management. This situation is common in PDM systems. In ERP systems, the situation is more complex due to the impact of different users purchasing goods on production planning, which may extend to the scope of planned BOM.

Sales BOM - SBOM (SALEBOM): The sales BOM is a product structure that is equipped according to user requirements. The corresponding general document format expression forms include basic file list, general file list, special file list, selection file list, replacement file list, special request change notice, etc. In some manufacturing industries, higher requirements have been placed on sales BOMs, which stipulate that each BOM can track the material information of each order throughout its lifecycle. However, each sales order has a unique sales BOM, or several sales BOMs can be determined based on the variety of products in the order. At this time, the sales BOM is usually referred to as the customer BOM. The sales source of BOM information is generally a summary of a series of different specifications and types of product parts list data. Maintenance BOM - WBOM: The maintenance service unit refers to the unit generated according to maintenance regulations, and the corresponding file formats include consumables details, reserved parts details, vulnerable and consumable parts details, etc. Maintaining a BOM information source typically filters out a list of consumables, reserved items, and consumables from the corresponding record features of the designed BOM. Generally speaking, it can be summarized in PDM software or used as a data application in ERP software.

Purchase BOM - CBOM: Raw materials, standard parts, and kits purchased according to production regulations, with corresponding file formats mainly including outsourced parts, outsourced parts, self-made parts, and material lists. The purchase source of BOM information generally comes from the summary of information on design drawings and process cards. The procurement department or production preparation unit shall follow their assigned procurement and production plans. PDM systems can generally summarize corresponding purchase BOM information based on drawings and process information, but if dynamic purchase BOM information is required, it must be completed in the ERP system. For example, purchasing BOM in 100 batches and purchasing BOM in 1000 batches may result in significant changes in terms of purchasing and external accessories. Some parts may have relatively low purchasing costs within a small batch, but can be self-made when the batch is large.

Cost BOM - CBOM (CostingBillOfMaterial): is a system generated by MRP II. When the enterprise defines the standard cost, suggested cost, and current cost management standards for parts, the system will automatically generate CBOM by accumulating PBOM and machining centers. Used for manufacturing cost control and cost variance analysis. Among them, selling SBOM=processing JBOM and purchasing CBOM. Production MBOM=JBOM PBOM Purchase CBOM.
