Ansemy sells its wafer factory in Pocatelo, Idaho, USA

ATREG announced that Ansemy has completed the sale of its 200mm wafer factory in Pocatelo, Idaho, to LASeconductor. Earlier, Ansemy had sold its wafer factories in South Portland, Maine, and Oudenarde, Belgium.

According to the official announcement of ATREG, the Pocatero factory covers an area of 33 acres, with a purification room space of over 50000 square feet, and a building space of over 550000 square feet. Currently, it produces 0.35 µ m to 1.5 µ M analog CMOS, BCD processes, advanced discrete devices, and customized production processes.

"This is not only the factories in South Portland, Maine, and Odenard, Belgium, but also the third manufacturing asset disposal that ATREG has assisted in the past 12 months," said Wei Chung Wang, executive vice president of global manufacturing operations at Ansemy. "This is the continuation of Ansemy's fab-liter strategy, and we hope to achieve sustainable financial performance by expanding the production capacity of key automotive and industrial market commodities."

According to data, LA Semiconductor was founded in 2022 and is a pure semiconductor OEM that produces analog, mixed signal, and power supply products in the United States.

In addition, according to foreign media reports, a Japanese fund backed by the Japan Development Bank and Itochu Business is acquiring a semiconductor factory owned by the American manufacturer Onsemi for over 20 billion yen (approximately 983 million yuan).
